FIVE THINGS THAT HAVE IMPACTED MY WORK AND LIFE
To a child the father is the image of love and strength, because every child looks up to his father regardless if the father is the strongest person on the block. My mother and my father are God to me and to my work. They have always supported me. Today whatever I am is only because of my parents. I have learnt that the only person who can pull me down is myself, and I am not going to let myself pull me down anymore. I have the confidence about what I can do and overcoming challenges. Whatever I have learnt is from my father. He is my real inspiration, my first teacher and I respect him from the core of my heart.
There is a great saying, behind every great husband there is an encouraging wife. Despite being a doctor, she keeps her work aside and motivates me.
Having a special hobby can help you escape the daily grind and give you an opportunity to be creative. I love doing something creative in my free time. Whenever I have free time, I play digital games on my mobile. Playing cricket is a favourite sport too. Besides these, I enjoy going on long drives, travelling, currency collecting, listening to music and wine tasting.
The position and responsibilities which I had were challenging for me initially, but I took it as an opportunity to prove myself. Being the Managing Director of Greenline Centre, I focused on the goal infused with positivity. To think negatively is like taking a drug that weakens you. So the right attitude is really important to create inner balance. I learnt from my father that failing doesn‘t make you a failure. And today I have come to realise that people and companies that fail, win more.
Talent wins games but teamwork wins championships. Without good team work, not even small goals can be achieved. My work motto is to strengthen the team‘s performance by combining individual victories into a big win.
Social work is a discipline that seeks the welfare of communities, individuals, families and groups. Engaging in social work helps develop skills and the ability to resolve problems. Usually I participate in the social work efforts of Round Table Nepal and Lions Club Nepal.
