
KATHMANDU: Domestic and international flights have been affected at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) due to incessant rain since Saturday night. As a result of low visibility, some flights have been diverted and some others cancelled, said the TIA General Manager Pratap Babu Tiwari.
The Air India aircraft coming from New Delhi, India has been diverted to Varanasi. Similarly, flights from Kathmandu to Pokhara and Surkhet have been halted.
Buddha Air's three flights on the route of Kathmandu-Pokhara and one on Kathmandu-Tumlingtar have been cancelled. The rainfall will continue until Tuesday, Meteorological Forecasting Division predicted.
Mostly cloudy throughout the country.. Light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at most of the places of the country , chances of heavy to very heavy rain with thunder and lightning at a few places of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province and Sudur Pashchim Province and at one or two places of Madesh Province.
