
BHARATPUR: Vehicular movement along Narayangadh-Muglin road has come to a halt after landslide obstructed the road last night.
The rain-triggered landslide occurred at Namsi at around 8:00 pm on Monday obstructing the road, said Information Officer at Road Division, engineer Chandeshwor Saha, adding that four huge equipment were used to remove the debris.
The equipment have been used to clear the debris since 10:00 pm. However, only 30% of debris were removed so far, according to police chief at Muglin Area Police Office, Inspector Bishal Tamang.
Meanwhile, the vehicles including passenger buses have been stranded at different places along the road following the landslide.
The vehicles coming from Kathmandu were stopped at Muglin, Kurintar, Phisling and Dhading, while those from East-West Highway at Bharatpur and Gaindakot in Nawalpur district.
