PATAN, LALITPUR: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Ramesh Rijal inaugurated the 'Women Entrepreneurship Fair' organised by the Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises Nepal in Satdobato, Lalitpur on Wednesday.
Addressing the inauguration programme of the fair being held on the occasion of the Teej festival, Minister Rijal said the government was ready to help and encourage entrepreneurs.
He said the country would pursue prosperity due to the labour of entrepreneurs, and it was the prime responsibility of the government to help them.
He said, "The government is committed to bringing the country to prosperity with new plans and thoughts. The government is ready to help entrepreneurs as their labour leads the country to prosperity."
On the occasion, former president of the Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN), Dharma Ratna Shakya, also an academician for the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, asked the government to formulate policies so that the items produced by women of Nepal can reach the national and international market.
There are five stalls showcasing various products in the fair that will run for five days, said the fair organising committee coordinator Yashoda Dahal.
