
KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Ambassador of the European Union to Nepal, Veronique Lorenzo, has said the EU will continue its support for Nepal's development including in the enforcement of the Constitution and the federal governance system.
Talking to media in Kathmandu today, the EU envoy also expressed her commitment to assisting Nepal in achieving prosperity, ensuring continuity of its assistance to Nepal in the areas of quality education, climate change, sustainable development, promotion of the energy sector, improvement of the human rights and for building an equitable society.
Recalling the decision of the EU, in the capacity of Nepal's significant development partner, to provide Nepal with 300 billion Euros till 2026 under the five-year plan, Ambassador Lorenzo hoped for wider cooperation and collaborations from all sides to achieve the programme targets.
