BARDAGHAT: Chisapani Hospital in Bardaghat of Nawalparasi (West of Bardaghat Susta) has started the Prosthetic Limbs Project.
Under the project, CG Sabal Kendra, a centre that has been providing free prosthetic limbs, has come into operation at the hospital with the support of the Chaudhary Foundation.
Member of the House of Representatives Binod Chaudhary (Nepali Congress) inaugurated the centre on Saturday. With the operation of prosthetic limb service at the hospital, people without arms and legs will now get prosthetic limbs free of cost from the Hospital.
On the occasion, Chaudhary, who was elected from Nawalparasi (West) Constituency No. 1, emphasized advancing the hospital to provide the best services in Lumbini Province.
Nearly 1,000 people have benefitted from CG Sabal Kendra.
Lawmaker Chaudhary has established the centre at the hospital keeping in mind the humanitarian service for citizens of his election constituency. Chaudhary has been doing work to improve the health sector in Nawalparasi as he announced during electioneering that he would provide quality and convenient health services to the citizens.
According to the Chaudhary Foundation, people without legs and arms from all over the country will get services from Chisapani Hospital. Also, the foundation has a commitment to make the hospital the best hospital in the region.
Lawmaker Chaudhary has announced that a trauma centre will be established to make Chisapani Hospital more specialized. He mentioned that some political leaders of the same area had obstructed the establishment of the trauma centre and promised that he would not back down from this campaign. This hospital works to provide round-the-clock service. For this, we have full support from our side,' he said, 'I feel ashamed when I see that some of the leaders here are involved in making a trauma centre. But this is my commitment that I will leave it as it is.'
Bardaghat Municipality Mayor Shambhu Shrestha said that the Chaudhary Foundation has contributed significantly to the expansion and improvement of services at Chisapani Hospital. He said, 'I want to thank the foundation for this. And the municipality will help to make the hospital excellent.'
CG Sabal Kendra is also operational at Madhyabindu District Hospital in Nawalpur.
On the initiative of MP Chaudhary, the government has sent doctors to three health institutions in Nawalparasi Constituency 1 including Chisapani Hospital. Earlier, Chisapani Hospital started taking services through a token system.
