MORANG: Morang Merchants' Association (MMA) is set to organise a trade expo in Biratnagar Metropolitan City from Dec 22, 2023 to Jan 1, 2024.
The expo is expected to boost the country's economic activities, according to MMA.
Organising a news conference in Biratnagar on Monday, MMA President Naveen Rijal stated the trade expo will be instrumental in promoting agricultural, touristic and industrial products.
He said goods and producers from neighbouring countries India, Bangladesh and Pakistan will also participate in the exhibition where a total of 250 stalls will be kept.
It is said the agricultural goods and productions of the small and cottage industries from the Sudurpaschim Province and remote areas will get the stalls for free.
The Trade Expo is expected to expand national and international markets of inter-provincial goods and services; establish business relations among national and international investors and promote the tourist destinations through promotional events.
The organiser has expected that the exhibition would record the business of Rs 150 million and mark the arrival of around 400,000 visitors from Nepal and India.
MMA has been organising trade expo since 1996.
