Applications open for 'OnCampus Competition' at Hult Prize KCM

A A- A+

KATHMANDU: Applications are now open for the 'OnCampus Competition' at Hult Prize KCM. Applicants need to form a group of at least three individuals and come up with revolutionary and sustainable solutions to address growing social issues.

The Hult Prize has announced this year's theme as 'UNLIMITED', which provides a broad perspective for students. They can choose any field that appeals to them and align it with the sustainable development goals (SDGs) to create a positive impact on the world.

The Hult Prize is an annual global social entrepreneurship competition that challenges university students to develop innovative solutions to pressing social issues.

The Hult Prize provides a platform for students to present their innovative ideas, which are linked to sustainable goals, and make a positive impact on the world. Winning teams receive support and funding to turn their ideas into reality, helping to address these important issues.

Participating students are provided with networking opportunities, entrepreneurial skills, and guidance from experts. Eventually, the winners receive seed capital of $1 million for their sustainable business from the Hult Prize Foundation.

The OnCampus Competition Finale will be held on 23 February 2024. The competition winners will have the opportunity to compete in the Hult Prize Summits. The winners will be able to choose the summit in which they want to compete.

Summit competition can be attended physically, if possible, or via online platforms. In the summits, the OnCampus winners will have the opportunity to compete against sustainable solutions from all around the world. Only a select few teams will be chosen to move forward to the next round and eventually participate in the Hult Prize Finals. The global finals are the climax of this competition, where the top teams compete against each other and present their ideas to a panel of judges and experts. The final winners are awarded $1 million as seed capital to start their journey to solve social issues.

Applicants will need to register before December 31, 2024 to take part in the Hult Prize OnCampus Competition.
