
KATHMANDU: The seventh meeting of the Executive Committee of Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal (CBFIN) held on Thursday discussed the ongoing physical attacks on employees of banks and financial institutions (BFIs), and illegal activities being carried out by individuals, groups and various organisations against BFIs and their assets.
The meeting urged all stakeholders of BFIs affiliated with CBFIN to unite and use the rights given by the prevailing law and take any strict measures for the protection of the rights and interests of all stakeholders.
Meanwhile, the umbrella organisation of commercial banks, development banks, and finance companies has urged the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Home Secretary, chief of security agencies and Chief District Officers across the country to make effective security arrangements for BFIs and their employees.
