883 tourists visit Khaptad region in 7 months

DOTI: A total of 883 travellers visited Khaptad region in Sudurpashchim Province in the past seven months of the current fiscal year 2023/24, according to the Khaptad National Park. 

Khaptad, an area of great religious and natural significance, has received 18 foreign and 865 domestic tourists during this period. 

In the fiscal year 2020/21, Khaptad, a sanctuary in the far-west, was visited by three foreigners and 1,685 Nepalis. The total number of visitors was just over 2,200 in the fiscal year 2021/22. 

In the fiscal year 2022/23, the region saw a total of 2,891 visitors. 

With the onset of the tourist season, the number of visitors to Khaptad is anticipated to increase.
