National Banking Institute and Siddhartha Bank Limited Sign Agreement to Study the Potential for Electric Vehicle Financing in Nepal

KATHMANDU: The National Banking Institute (NBI) and Siddhartha Bank Limited signed an agreement to conduct a study on the potential for electric vehicle financing in Nepal. Mr. Sundar Prasad Kandel, CEO of Siddhartha Bank Ltd., and Mr. Kumar Lamsal, CEO of the National Banking Institute, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.

According to the agreement, the National Banking Institute will conduct research and prepare a report on the feasibility of financing electric vehicles in Nepal.

Established with the participation of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and various banks to enhance the capacity of banks and financial institutions in Nepal, the National Banking Institute has been conducting various programs such as training, certification courses, seminars, workshops, and symposiums. Recently, the Institute has also been increasing its activities in the field of research and analysis.

The Institute aims to conduct research on various topics related to the banking and financial sector in the coming days and provide essential information, data, and statistics to banks and financial institutions in the country.
