KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank Employees' Union has concluded its 10th Central General Convention in Kathmandu.
Held from April 30 to May 1, the convention elected a new executive committee under the leadership of Ramhari Ghimire. The executive committee comprises vice chairs Dilli Raj Acharya and Nirjal Ghimire, general secretary Krishna Prasad Kharal, secretaries Basu Rijal and Min Raj Sharma, treasurer Ramesh Khatiwada, joint treasurer Rewati Rai, and members Saroj Khanal, Ram Sewak Mandal, Goma Dhital, Prakash Pokharel, Arjun Raj Tiwari, Sadhana Subedi, Jeevan BK, Suman Rai, Suraj Japrel and Amish Sharma.
Acting Governor and Chairperson of Nepal Rastra Bank, Dr Neelam Dhungana Timsina, was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony, held on the premises of NRB's central office in Baluwatar.

The closed session of the convention took place on Thursday in the hall of NRB's Banking Office in Thapathali. The convention was held under the slogan: "A dynamic trade union with ideological clarity and organisational strength is our identity. Building a strong, capable and autonomous central bank is our campaign."
Representatives and observers from Biratnagar in the east to Dhangadhi in the west attended the event.
