Multi-Stakeholder Consultation Programme to discuss DNF 2.0 implementation today

KATHMANDU: The Multi-Stakeholder Consultation Programme on the implementation of DNF 2.0 and the way forward is set to be held in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu today.

Organised by the Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation), the workshop brings together policymakers, industry experts, and stakeholders to discuss digital policy strategies and technological advancements.

The programme is scheduled to begin with participant registration, followed by an introduction by MC Dipendra Paudel, Executive Member of CAN Federation. The formal session will start with opening remarks from Sunaina Ghimire Pandey, President of CAN Federation, and remarks from Coordinator Chiranjibi Adhikari, Vice President of the organisation.

Adesh Khadka, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Communications, Information, and Technology (MOCIT), will deliver the keynote speech, followed by presentations from Prof Dr Subarna Shakya, ICT Policy Expert, and Dr Shaligram Parajuli, IT Advisor at MOCIT.

A panel discussion moderated by Dr Bhoj Raj Ghimire, General Secretary of CSRI, will feature experts including Asgar Ali, IT Advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Amrita Sharma from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Ruchi Pandey from the World Bank, as well as industry professionals such as Pradeep Lamichhane, a data centre expert, and Bigyan Shrestha, IT Committee Chair of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce.

The event will conclude with a Q&A session, a vote of thanks from Ranjeet Kumar Poddar, Immediate Past President of CAN Federation, followed by a closing ceremony, a group photo, and high tea.

The workshop aims to provide a platform for experts and stakeholders to examine strategies for the effective implementation of DNF 2.0, fostering collaboration towards Nepal’s digital future.
