KATHMANDU: Cosmos International College Pokhara (CIC), established in 2006, has officially relaunched CAIE A Levels in Pokhara through a strategic partnership with The British College, Kathmandu (TBC). This collaboration marks CIC’s integration into the British Education Group, reinforcing its commitment to delivering quality education across Nepal.

The relaunch ceremony was inaugurated by chief guest Paul Cleves, Vice President of The British Grammar School, and Mahendra Raj Kandel, Executive Director of TBC, following the traditional lighting of the panas. Cleves commended the British Education Group for its dedication to empowering Nepal’s youth through globally recognised academic programmes.

"High-quality education is key to national progress. We are thrilled to expand into Pokhara with the relaunch of Cosmos International College. This is about more than a campus – it’s about transforming futures," Cleves stated.

Kandel also addressed the gathering, reflecting on the institution’s journey.

"What began in 2012 as a vision for transformative education is today a thriving academic ecosystem. With over 6,000 students across our institutions, our graduates are now working for top global companies, founding successful ventures, and studying at elite universities in over 20 countries. We are proud to bring the same dependable benchmark of excellence from TBC to Pokhara. Students can now officially apply for CAIE A Levels, and we are committed to offering programmes that meet the aspirations of students—right here at home," Kandel remarked.

To mark the relaunch, CIC has introduced special offers for prospective students, including up to 50% scholarships on tuition fees for the first intake, free admission for the first 20 enrolled students, and additional scholarships for national-level athletes and high-achieving students. Free transportation will also be provided from major areas of Pokhara. Applications are now open, with students required to apply by June 10, 2025, to be eligible for scholarships.

CIC is now part of the British Education Group, a growing network of institutions focused on innovation and global learning opportunities. This includes TBC, Westminster College, Lalitpur; British Model College; British Professional College; British International College; British Grammar School, Rupandehi; Motherland School, Chitwan; The Woolwich College, London; The Woolwich Institute, Dubai; and Maritime Business College, Canada.

With this new chapter, CIC aims to deliver internationally recognised education in Pokhara, blending global curricula, practical learning, and a student-centred academic environment.
