
KATHMANDU: A Summit Air aircraft travelling from Kathmandu to Lukla made an emergency landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) this morning following technical issues.
TIA spokesperson Rinzi Sherpa said the pilot decided to execute the emergency landing after technical problems were detected while the aircraft was flying over the Phaplu region.
The aircraft landed safely at 7:24 am.
A technical team is currently working to resolve the issue.
The TIA Office confirmed that 19 people were on board, including the pilot and crew members, and all are safe.
