KATHMANDU: Teletalk announced on Sunday the launch of the new HMD Crest Max 5G smartphone. The phone is built for high performance, good camera quality, and easy repair. It is the latest device in HMD's line-up and aims to offer users a safe, powerful, and sustainable mobile experience.

The HMD Crest Max 5G has a three-lens camera system on the back. Its main camera is 64MP, accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone includes a 50MP front camera, designed to capture clear and detailed images.

The phone features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display that shows bright colours and clear images, perfect for videos and games. It is powered by the Unisoc T760 5G chipset and runs on Android 14. The device has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card. It also comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging with a C-to-C cable and is built to last up to 800 full charging cycles.

HMD Global has also introduced "Repairability 1.0". This feature lets users easily replace parts such as the back panel, battery, display, or charging port, which helps to extend the phone's life and reduce electronic waste.

This launch shows HMD's focus on both performance and sustainability, aligning with consumer demands and environmental concerns.
