KATHMANDU: Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs' Forum (NYEF) Biratnagar Chapter is set to host the Nepal-India Young Entrepreneurs' Summit in Jhapa on June 8. The bilateral meet will commence at 11:00 am.

The summit expects significant participation from young entrepreneurs from both Nepal and India. Its main goal is to facilitate the exchange of experiences and skills, foster business networking and explore opportunities for long-term collaboration between entrepreneurs from the two countries.

The one-day event will include networking sessions, various workshops and in-depth discussions on topics such as cross-border entrepreneurship, the role of youth in policymaking and the subjects of startups and innovation.

"This summit is expected to significantly contribute to making the best use of shared resources in border areas. It aims to promote startups in sectors like agriculture, tourism, information technology, education and services, and play a vital role in economic development at the province level," NYEF Biratnagar Chapter President Shubham Bhattarai said in a press statement on Wednesday.

The programme is anticipated to bring together young entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and representatives from government and non-governmental sectors from Nepal and India onto a single platform. It is hoped to serve as a bridge, opening doors for future collaborations.

This bilateral meet is believed to further strengthen the youth entrepreneurship relationship between Nepal and India, taking a new step towards sustainable development.
