NEPALGUNJ: Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) and Lumbini Technological University (LTU) in Banke, Nepalgunj, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Sunday to collaborate in advancing ICT education, research and industry engagement.
The MoU was signed with the shared vision of fostering innovation, promoting skill development and building strong industry-academia linkages in Nepal.

The partnership aims to align academic efforts with the needs of the rapidly evolving ICT sector, ultimately contributing to Nepal’s digital transformation.
Key areas of collaboration include joint programme and event organisation, internship and industry engagement, collaborative research and innovation, and policy advocacy in the ICT sector.
CAN Federation President Sunaina Ghimire Pandey expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. She said, “This partnership with LTU is an important milestone towards nurturing ICT talent at the grassroots level and creating a robust innovation ecosystem in Nepal.”
This alliance underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to bridge the gap between academic institutions and the ICT industry, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped with the skills and experience needed to succeed in the digital economy.
