NIFRA Green Energy Bond Allotment Marks Milestone in Nepal’s Capital Market

Kathmandu: NIMB Ace Capital Ltd. has successfully completed the allotment of the “NIFRA Green Energy Bond 6% – 2088/89”, issued by Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA). The NPR 5 billion bond, aimed at financing clean energy projects, was oversubscribed by 3.8 times, highlighting strong investor trust in green financing.

The bond carries a 6% annual return over a 7-year tenure and will support sustainable initiatives such as hydropower and solar energy projects under the Green, Resilient, and Inclusive Development (GRID) framework.

The allotment event was held at NIMB Ace Capital’s Kathmandu office, attended by key stakeholders and regulatory representatives.
