Cloudy Skies and Rain Expected Across Nepal as Monsoon Advances

Kathmandu: The weather across Nepal is forecast to remain partly to generally cloudy today, with chances of heavy rainfall at isolated spots in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati Provinces.

Light rain and snowfall are likely in some high-hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as a few locations elsewhere in the high terrain.

Monsoon winds are currently affecting parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, along with eastern areas of Lumbini. Westerly and local winds are influencing the western region.

Tonight, cloudy conditions will persist nationwide. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, with isolated heavy rainfall also possible. Snowfall may continue in some high-altitude areas.

Authorities urge caution in areas vulnerable to landslides and flooding.
