Kathmandu:  Applications are now open for the 11th edition of Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2025, a nationwide platform that honors Nepali teenagers making a positive impact beyond academics. The program, organized by Glocal Pvt. Ltd. and presented by Golchha Group, was officially announced on June 16.

Launched in 2015, Glocal Teen Hero (GTH) initially focused on Kathmandu Valley before expanding across Nepal in 2016 and into India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh in later years. It recognizes youth between the ages of 13 and 19 who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and social contribution.

Applications can be submitted online at glocalteenhero.com/nepal until July 30, 2025. Nominations of outstanding teenagers are also accepted.

This year, the program aims to reach youth in over 60 cities across Nepal. After screening, 20 candidates will be featured in the “20under20” list, from which six finalists will be selected for the final round. Finalists will be evaluated based on the vision, impact, and sustainability of their work.

A panel of esteemed judges will assess the finalists, including:
Chandrika Kalia, Country Director, Coca-Cola Nepal
Dr. Ghana Shyam Gurung, Country Director, WWF Nepal
Seema Golchha, Director, Golchha Group
Suraj Vaidya, President, VOITH
Thomas Miller, Charge d'Affaires, European Union to Nepal

The initiative is backed by a strong network of partners including the European Union, Embassy of India, Nepal Tourism Board, Coca-Cola, WWF, Honda, Toyota, KFC, and several leading banks like Global IME Bank, Nabil Bank, and Nepal SBI Bank. Himalaya TV HD will broadcast the grand finale live.

As the program enters its 11th year, it continues to highlight and support youth-led change, empowering teenagers to lead with purpose and drive impact across Nepal and South Asia.
