
Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a continued downtrend on Thursday, shedding 24.76 points, or 0.93%, to close at 2,628.91. This marks a second consecutive day of losses, following a minor dip of 1.07 points (0.04%) on Wednesday, when the index had settled at 2,653.68.
The benchmark index opened at 2,650.96 today, briefly touching an intraday high of 2,661.33 before retreating to a low of 2,628.27. In contrast, the previous day saw NEPSE open at 2,654.51, peaking at 2,662.69 before hitting a low of 2,649.78.
Total turnover for Thursday amounted to Rs. 11.23 billion, with 29.42 million shares traded across 314 companies in 121,551 transactions. The market capitalisation stood at Rs. 4.38 trillion, while the float market capitalisation was recorded at Rs. 1.48 trillion.
