
KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Dipak Khadka, met China’s National Energy Administration (NEA) administrator, Wang Hongzhi, today.
They met during the energy ministerial meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province.
Minister Khadka said the SCO meeting, organised by the Chinese government, had supported the development of Nepal’s energy sector and thanked China for successfully hosting the event.
Sagar Raj Adhikari, joint secretary at the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, said they had discussed long-term friendly relations between Nepal and China, mutual trust and further cooperation in the energy sector.
Wang said the Chinese government was committed to providing technical and financial support for developing Nepal’s energy infrastructure.
