KATHMANDU: Newly elected executive committee of the Chamber of Industries Morang (CIM) unveiled a two-year strategic work plan today, pledging to advance development and promotion of the industrial and business sectors.
At an event in Biratnagar, CIM President Nanda Kishor Rathi said the plan would strengthen industries and businesses by creating an industrial ecosystem and fostering robust commercial cooperation to drive sustainable economic growth.
He added that its priorities include policy formulation to foster an investment-friendly environment, provision of essential business-promotion services and encouragement of entrepreneurship development and innovation.
According to CIM, upcoming advocacy will focus on building trust, ensuring predictable policymaking, simplifying procedures, securing dependable energy supply, developing infrastructure to reduce costs, improving access to finance and promoting exports. The committee also plans special initiatives on import substitution, market regulation, sound industrial labour relations and a long-term solution to the electricity-supply challenge.
