TSN marks 3rd anniversary with farewell for US Embassy’s political and economic chief

KATHMANDU: The Startup Network (TSN) marked its third anniversary by hosting an interaction-cum-farewell for Mark Templer, Political and Economic Chief at the US Embassy in Nepal, on Thursday. 

The event was attended by and former executive member, Asika Kadariya, and current executive team members Dr Sudeep Rauniar MBBS, MD RY1; Piyush Mahat; Sailaj Joshi; and Kismat P.

Three of The Startup Network’s ventures presented their innovations to Templer. Wotarvo, led by Acchividhu Aryal, Diwas Ghimire and Roshan Giri of Tribhuvan University’s Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, showcased an ambient air-purification system. Bijayan Bhattarai demonstrated Diyo AI, a conversational artificial-intelligence platform for rapid, accessible information delivery. Rabin Shrestha outlined Makeup Durbar’s premium make-up school and beauty destination model.

Each entrepreneur received feedback and encouragement from Templer, whose mentorship has supported the Network since its inception. Organisers credited his guidance with helping to shape Nepal’s start-up ecosystem.

Founded in July 2022, The Startup Network connects entrepreneurs with mentorship, education, investment opportunities and strategic partnerships. The organisation said it remains committed to nurturing Nepal’s startup community.
