KATHMANDU: Softwarica College of IT and E-commerce’s annual information technology exhibition concluded this week under the slogan ‘Seize opportunities, enhance capabilities’. The week-long event showcased inventive student projects in software, AI tools and cybersecurity systems.

Students, parents, teachers and IT professionals attended the event to view demonstrations of practical technologies, including AI-based CCTV cameras, anti-hacking systems, emergency-response drones and educational-management platforms.

The college's founder and chairman, Bigyan Shrestha, said visitors showed particular interest in the AI CCTV camera system developed by the students, which can perform facial recognition, analyse activity and automatically send notifications if suspicious behaviour is detected. “From a security perspective, this system holds high potential in industrial and commercial sectors,” he added. “This exhibition is a living example of how our students can transform academic knowledge into practical application.”

Visitors praised the excellence of the students’ innovative thinking and technical skills, while participating parents and guardians commended the college’s efforts to foster creativity, expressing confidence that such events help students become self-reliant and professionally competent.

Softwarica College of IT and E-commerce, well known in the ICT sector, organises the annual exhibition to inspire students to pursue new discoveries and experiments. Chairman Shrestha stated that the event also highlighted Nepal’s potential in IT education and strengthened the country's prospects for innovation.
