Minister Yadav directs mobilisation of human resources to tackle Tarai-Madhesh water crisis

KATHMANDU: Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav has instructed subordinate agencies to mobilise human resources to resolve the drinking water crisis in Tarai-Madhesh.

At a senior management team meeting at the Ministry today, Minister Yadav directed the chiefs of the relevant agencies to immediately tackle the crisis, which has particularly affected Bara and Parsa districts.

“Let us mobilise all human resources to address the drinking water shortage affecting eight districts of Tarai-Madhesh. The problem can be solved if our teams and resources are effectively deployed,” Minister Yadav said.

He also instructed ministry officials to formally approach donor agencies, international organisations and neighbouring countries for cooperation in addressing the water crisis in Tarai-Madhesh region.
