KATHMANDU: The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) successfully conducted a health camp in Manamaiju on Wednesday, marking its Diamond Jubilee. More than 100 women underwent health check-ups, including breast examinations and cervical cancer screenings.
The NCC has organised various programmes this year to mark the 75th anniversary of the country’s chamber movement. Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Centre and Silverline Hospital provided technical support for the camp, which the Diamond Jubilee Main Ceremony Committee coordinated.
During the health check-up, the NCC’s immediate past president, Rajendra Malla, urged women to take advantage of the initiatives offered on the Diamond Jubilee, including the health screenings.
Malla emphasised that women should pursue entrepreneurial and business activities for both health and economic benefits.
