KATHMANDU: Thai Airways, in partnership with its General Sales Agent in Nepal, Society International Travels, concluded its “Give the Gift of Life” blood donation drive in Hattisar, Kathmandu, on Thursday.
The community initiative, held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, aimed to bolster local blood reserves for patients requiring urgent transfusions during emergencies.
The drive saw enthusiastic participation, with 131 individuals generously donating blood. Donors included staff from Society International Travels, valued customers and clients, and professionals from Kathmandu’s wider travel industry.

The Nepal Red Cross Society provided vital medical expertise, equipment and oversight throughout the event, ensuring all procedures adhered to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
“Even as a commercial enterprise, giving back to the communities we serve remains a vital part of our mission,” said a representative from Society International Travels. “This drive directly addresses a crucial need, and we are proud to facilitate this life-saving effort on behalf of Thai Airways.”
In recognition of their altruistic contribution, all blood donors received formal Certificates of Appreciation, symbolising the organisers’ gratitude for their commitment to helping those in need.
