KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said on Friday that Nepal values its time-tested friendship with China and looks forward to further advancing bilateral relations.

Speaking at a reception to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Nepal and China, he said that over the past seven decades, relations have grown stronger, grounded in mutual trust and shared values.

He emphasised that Nepal firmly adheres to the One-China principle and that China has consistently respected Nepal’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence.

Oli described China as both a close neighbour and a trustworthy development partner, adding that Nepal looks forward to enhancing bilateral cooperation, deepening connections and exploring new avenues for mutual benefit.

He highlighted China’s achievements in pursuing national rejuvenation, saying they not only benefit China but also contribute to regional stability and global progress.
