KATHMANDU: Kuzu Nepal, the official distributor of Yadea in Nepal, unveiled the high-performance Velax series of electric scooters at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, on Wednesday. Prices start at Rs 285,000.
The Velax range comprises three models aimed at urban riders seeking power, range and intelligent features.
The flagship Velax U (Ultra Performance) features a 4.9 kW motor paired with a dual 74 V, 20 Ah lithium-ion battery pack, offering up to 140 kilometres of range and a top speed of 80 km/h. The Velax Fast Charging model combines a 3.2 kW motor with a 76 V, 30 Ah battery, reaching 80% charge in 20 minutes and providing up to 110 kilometres of range. The Velax H (High Performance) uses the same 3.2 kW motor with a 72 V, 30 Ah battery, delivering 100 kilometres of range for daily commuting.

All three models include cruise control, reverse mode, keyless start, smart unlock, regenerative braking, a USB charging port, a fully digital dashboard and LED lighting. Mobile-app integration enables anti-theft alerts, ride tracking and diagnostics.
The Velax series is backed by a three-year or 30,000-kilometre warranty and a nationwide network of authorised dealerships. Test rides, pre-bookings and financing options are available at more than 12 Yadea showrooms across Nepal.
“With the Velax series, we’re setting a new standard for what Nepali riders should expect from electric mobility,” said a Kuzu Nepal spokesperson.
