KATHMANDU: Outreach Nepal, together with its activation partner Lemon and digital partner Digitalin Nepal, secured 13 prestigious awards at the Flame Awards South East Asia 2025 in New Delhi, India, on Friday.
Outreach Nepal won two gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze; Lemon won one silver and three bronze medals; DigitalIn Nepal won one gold, one silver and one bronze.
These wins include seven awards for Unilever, two for Samsung, two for Ncell and one each for Mountain Dew and Shikhar Insurance. The overall tally comprises three gold medals, five silver medals and five bronze medals.
The awards, organised by the Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI), celebrate excellence in Behaviour Change Communication, regional marketing and inclusive marketing. This year’s edition recorded the highest number of entries in its history, with strong participation from Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Thailand cementing its status as one of the region’s most respected platforms for marketing innovation. Other key winners included Impact Communications, Anugrah Madison, Posterscope India, Insight India Network, Covana Media (India) and Habson Communication, and Bkash Limited (Bangladesh).

The judging process was audited by Ernst & Young to ensure transparency and credibility. The jury was co-chaired by Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International, and Dr Venkatram Vasantavada, managing director and CEO of Seedworks International, supported by more than 20 senior industry experts from India and over 15 eminent South East Asian jurors representing Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, Indonesia and Singapore.

In addition to the awards, Shakya has been entrusted with leading the Nepal chapter of RMAI – a new initiative aimed at building a collaborative network of professionals, agencies and marketers in Nepal passionate about behaviour change communication. The platform will promote knowledge exchange between India and Nepal through case studies, dialogue forums and mentorship programmes, with the goal of making rural marketing and behaviour change communication a strategic priority for the next generation of marketers in Nepal.
