KATHMANDU: Nepal’s International Relations and Global Diplomacy Dialogue (IRGDD) and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce have engaged in discussions aimed at expanding collaboration in trade, investment, and other key areas of shared interest.
The dialogue took place on 12 August at the IRGDD office in Bishalnagar, where IRGDD President Ambassador Dr Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal welcomed Inmaculada Riera i Reñé, Director-General of the Spanish Chamber, who is currently visiting Nepal.

Both parties exchanged perspectives on broadening bilateral cooperation in sectors such as digital innovation, tourism, education, skills development, and cultural exchange. The meeting also touched on avenues for knowledge sharing and facilitating cross-border business opportunities.
Ambassador Kali Prasad Pokhrel and Bimal Dhakal, representing IRGDD, were also present during the meeting.
The IRGDD is a Kathmandu-based, independent, non-profit think tank focused on global policy research, strategic advisory, and capacity building. It combines multidisciplinary expertise to support evidence-based policymaking and international dialogue.
The Spanish Chamber of Commerce, a public body, serves to support and represent Spain’s business community both domestically and abroad. It also oversees a network of chambers aimed at strengthening international commercial partnerships.
