
KATHMANDU: Hemraj Dhakal, Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has been appointed to the board of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), representing the private sector.
Dhakal was sworn in by SEBON Chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha, in line with the board’s structure that includes members from key sectors. As per SEBON’s statute, one representative each is selected from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Law, Nepal Rastra Bank, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal, and FNCCI.
His nomination was put forward by FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal. The private sector seat on SEBON’s board is a routine appointment intended to ensure business community representation in financial market oversight.
