
KATHMANDU: A discussion was held today at the Ministry of Finance on the operation of regular international flights from Pokhara International Airport and Gautam Buddha International Airport.
According to the private secretariat of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Bishnu Prasad Paudel, a work plan for operating regular flights from both airports was discussed at the ministry.
The talks were held in the context of managing the burden on Tribhuvan International Airport and identifying corresponding measures for regular flights at Pokhara and Gautam Buddha airports.
Present at the meeting were Finance Minister Paudel; the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey; the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodari Bhandari; the Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission, Dr Shiva Raj Adhikari; Chief Secretary Eaknarayan Aryal; other secretaries; and the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Pradeep Adhikari.
