Leapmotor surpasses 9 lakh vehicle deliveries
KATHMANDU: New energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer Leapmotor has officially surpassed 900,000 cumulative vehicle deliveries as of today, marking a major milestone in its rapid ascent within the global electric vehicle (EV) market. The company posted a record-breaking performance in the first half of this year, demonstrating its growing momentum in both domestic and overseas markets, and made its debut on the Fortune China 500 list, highlighting its reputation for innovation, affordability and global competitiveness.
The firm is expanding its global presence through a strategic partnership with Stellantis, which established Leapmotor International as a joint venture to manage the manufacturer’s international sales and distribution. Leapmotor has entered more than 30 markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the Asia–Pacific region. With over 600 sales and service sites worldwide, it has set a new benchmark for the speed and scale of overseas expansion among emerging NEV brands.
In Nepal, Leapmotor has attracted customers with its stylish design, advanced features and competitive pricing. Its range comprises three models – C10, B10 and T03. Shangrila Motors, part of the Golchha Organisation, has been the authorised sole importer of Peugeot since 2017, of Citroën since 2021 and of Leapmotor since 2024. The importer remains committed to introducing innovative, stylish and eco-friendly vehicles to meet the evolving needs of the Nepali market.
