US AI startup Anthropic raises $13bn in Series F
SAN FRANCISCO: US AI startup Anthropic has raised $13 billion in a Series F round led by ICONIQ at a post-money valuation of $183 billion.
The fundraising was co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Lightspeed Venture Partners, the company said.
Anthropic said it will use the funds to expand capacity to meet growing enterprise demand, deepen safety research and support international expansion.
‘We are seeing exponential growth in demand across our entire customer base,’ said Anthropic chief financial officer Krishna Rao.
In March, Anthropic raised $3.5 billion in a Series E round at a post-money valuation of $61.5 billion.
The company has experienced rapid growth since launching its AI model Claude in March 2023.
