KATHMANDU: Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) have said Nepal’s tourism sector is in an extremely difficult situation. In a joint statement, they appealed for the demands raised by Gen Z to be addressed, for peace and order to be restored and for a tourism-friendly environment to be created.
“Not a single moment should be delayed in addressing the demands of Gen Z, and it has become necessary to save the country from further damage; from now on, the path of destruction must end forever,” the statement read.
It also called for a flawless and universally acceptable person to lead a civilian government to address those demands and for peace and order to be established immediately.
The NMA and TAAN offered heartfelt condolences to those who died during the Gen Z protests and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
