KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has urged travellers and tourism industry partners to remain indoors and avoid large gatherings after curfews were imposed in several cities owing to Gen Z protests.

Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has been closed until further notice. Stranded travellers are advised to contact their respective embassies or the Tourist Police on hotline 1144 for assistance.

For coordination, the NTB has appointed Deepak Raj Joshi (9851244299) to oversee overall matters; Mani Lamichhane (9851024366) for Pokhara-related enquiries; Shradha Shrestha (9856029214), Archana Rana (9841047438), Sudhan Subedi (9851065336), Sitaram Dahal (9851217806) and Prem Bhattarai (9849763497) for Kathmandu coordination; and Sunil Pathak (9846967180) for all issues relating to TIA.

The NTB said further updates would be issued as the situation evolves.
