
KATHMANDU: Merchant Banking Association Nepal (MBAN) successfully conducted its 16th annual general meeting (AGM) in Kathmandu on Thursday. The meeting was attended by representatives from all merchant banking institutions and members of MBAN.
Delegates reviewed the association’s activities and achievements for the fiscal year 2024/25 and endorsed the annual programme and budget for fiscal year 2025/26. Participants also discussed current issues and challenges facing the merchant banking sector and outlined future strategic plans for the industry in Nepal.
The AGM amended MBAN’s statute and considered policy measures intended to strengthen the role of merchant banks in the capital market. The association reiterated its commitment to promoting ethical practices, professionalism and sustainable growth across the sector.
MBAN expressed gratitude to its members for their continued support and emphasised the importance of collective effort in addressing regulatory, market and operational challenges. The meeting concluded with the allocation of new leadership responsibilities for the upcoming term.
