KATHMANDU: inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, is waiving service fees for drivers in Kathmandu during Dashain festival, allowing drivers to keep 100% of their earnings and encouraging passengers to take more rides on the platform.

The company said the move is part of its peer‑to‑peer (P2P) model that lets passengers and drivers negotiate and agree a fair price before a journey, promoting transparency and flexibility and giving both parties freedom of choice.

inDrive announced the 0% service‑fee initiative as a way to support drivers during the festive period, saying it aims to help them earn more and reduce financial pressure so they can celebrate with their families.

Rita Pokharel, Nepal country representative for inDrive, said the company views itself as part of the local community and that the waiver is intended to ensure drivers benefit during Dashain while passengers continue to receive safe, fairly priced rides.

The company emphasised that safety remains a priority and highlighted several features available on the platform, including real‑time ride tracking, driver and passenger ratings, 24/7 in‑app support and a share‑trip feature that allows riders to share trip details with trusted contacts.

inDrive invited Kathmandu residents to support local drivers by choosing the platform during the festival, noting that passengers will benefit from affordable, flexible and safe rides while drivers retain their full fares.
