
KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka have reached an agreement to cooperate directly through the exchange of business delegations.
The agreement is expected to expand trade and investment, explore opportunities for establishing industries and joint ventures, and help businesspeople meet at trade fairs and forums. It also allows NCC representatives to study Sri Lanka’s economic revival.
According to a press statement issued by the NCC, the agreement promotes trade, investment, industry and the service sector.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the NCC by its International Promotion Committee chairman, Arjun Prasad Sharma, and on behalf of the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka by its general secretary, Shiham Marikar. It was signed in the presence of Nepal’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Purna Nepali; NCC President Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal; and the President of the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka, Indhra Kaushal Rajapaksa.
