Education Minister issues four-point instructions to CTEVT
KATHMANDU: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Mahabir Pun has issued four-point instructions to the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) for immediate implementation.
Minister Pun, who is also the chair of CTEVT, has directed the council to prepare a framework to improve the existing curriculum and incorporate innovations, and to submit the framework by October 17.
He has also instructed CTEVT to establish an integrated academic calendar and ensure that examination results are published within three months.
A mechanism to receive, record and address complaints from students, parents and teachers at the council’s office must be established and brought into operation immediately, the instruction stated.
The minister further ordered that a report on all applications received for affiliation since 2069 BS be prepared and submitted to the ministry by October 17, and that prompt decisions be taken on whether to grant affiliation.
