PM Karki expresses sorrow over disaster losses
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and damage to property in Ilam district and other parts of the country following heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday.
Posting on her social media platforms on Sunday evening, PM Karki extended heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives in the disasters and expressed sympathy to the bereaved families.
The Prime Minister also conveyed appreciation to all those deployed in rescue and relief operations during the crisis.
"The patience and support shown by the Nepalis during the time of crisis are praiseworthy. For this, I would like to thank all from my heart," PM Karki stated.
She further mentioned that relief distribution is ongoing in the disaster-affected areas.
