
KATHMANDU: The increase in gold prices on international market has affected the local market as well. Compared with Monday, one tola of gold is Rs 2,300 more expensive today.
According to Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of one tola of gold, which traded at Rs 233,100 on Monday, has risen by Rs 2,300 to Rs 235,400 today. The price of silver, however, remains stable.
On Monday, one tola of silver was bought and sold for Rs 2,960. Last Sunday, one tola of gold was traded for Rs 230,600, and the same quantity of silver changed hands at Rs 2,930.
International media sources report that one ounce of gold is trading at $3,965 in the global market today.
