As per the MoU, both organisations will work jointly to promote a safely managed service system in the areas of drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, and under this common initiative will undertake programmes related to faecal sludge management, wastewater management, solid waste management and city‑wide inclusive sanitation, said the Centre’s chief Shrestha. He said, "This MoU will not only formalise cooperation between both parties, but will also contribute to building a sustainable framework for knowledge management, capacity development, and technical collaboration to strengthen safely managed water and sanitation systems in Nepal."
The Centre stated that it has a long‑term goal of enhancing the skills and expertise of stakeholders engaged in the WASH sector to produce skilled human resources.
It has been reported that the development of training materials, expansion of virtual training facilities and knowledge exchange through the online learning management system will be carried forward in collaboration with ENPHO.
