Meanwhile, according to the MFD under DHM, the cyclone Montha that developed in the Bay of Bengal made landfall in Andhra Pradesh, India, on the night of October 28.
It said the system gradually weakened thereafter, moving north and northwest, approaching closer to the central region of Nepal as a low‑pressure area, and then moving eastward.
According to the MFD, this system will affect the weather in Bagmati, Madhes and Koshi provinces of Nepal from today until November 1.
The influence of the said weather system indicates a possibility of moderate rainfall in most parts of Madhesh and Koshi provinces and in some places of Bagmati province.
The MFD has urged everyone to take necessary precautions as there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the three provinces.
