KATHMANDU: Aloft Kathmandu Thamel joined the 11th edition of the Marriott India Business Council’s 'Road to Give' initiative on November 3, hosting a charity short walkathon and fitness session at Narayanchaur Park, Naxal.

The morning attracted associates, guests and fitness enthusiasts who took part in the walkathon and other activities under the theme of moving with purpose. Funds raised during the event were donated to Manjushree Children’s Home and Shree Rescue Animal Welfare.

Participants received certificates of participation in recognition of their support. The event emphasised wellbeing, community giving and teamwork, with organisers describing a lively atmosphere that reflected the Aloft brand’s youthful spirit.

Vikram Singh, general manager of Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, said, “Road to Give is a wonderful reminder that every small step can create meaningful change. It’s about community, compassion, and care — values that are at the heart of Aloft. We’re proud to stand alongside the Marriott Business Council and our fellow Marriott properties in giving back to causes that truly matter.”

Sanjay Gupta, chairman of the Marriott India Business Council, said, “Each year, Road to Give reminds us of the extraordinary power of collective purpose. As we celebrate its 11th edition, we recognise the compassion, energy, and unity our associates bring to their communities across South Asia. Their efforts continue to strengthen Marriott’s legacy of care, inclusion, and service.”

Now in its 11th year, Road to Give encourages associates, guests and partners across Nepal, India, Bhutan and Sri Lanka to run, walk, cycle or otherwise move in support of local causes, aiming to foster wellbeing and community engagement.
