KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel today formally inaugurated NTV World, the English-language channel of Nepal Television, coinciding with the first anniversary of Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) Nepal.
The launch ceremony was held at PSB Nepal’s premises in Singha Durbar, where President Paudel also unveiled the new PSB logo and mobile application.
NTV World aims to introduce Nepal’s culture, heritage and contemporary affairs to international audiences, strengthening the country’s media presence abroad.
PSB Nepal was formed through the merger of Nepal Television and Radio Nepal, following the enactment of the Public Service Broadcasting Act. The legislation, certified by President Paudel on October 8, 2024, came into effect on November 8, 2024, formally transforming the two national broadcasters into a unified public service institution.
