Foodmandu Marks 15 Years of Revolutionising Nepal’s Food Delivery Industry

KATHMANDU: Foodmandu, Nepal’s first online food delivery platform, has celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking a remarkable journey from a pioneering start-up to a household name connecting millions of customers with thousands of restaurants nationwide.

Since its launch on 11 November 2010, Foodmandu has grown significantly, partnering with thousands of restaurants across major cities, creating employment opportunities for delivery riders, and transforming the way Nepalis enjoy their favourite meals. The company has played a vital role in helping restaurants expand their digital reach and adapt to changing consumer habits.

Reflecting on the milestone, Manohar Adhikari, founder of Foodmandu, said, “Fifteen years ago, we started with a simple idea: to make it easier for people to enjoy their favourite meals at home. Currently, Foodmandu delivers from more than 1,000 restaurants across Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Butwal, and Pokhara, and also provides instant delivery of daily essentials through its Foodmandu Onemart service.
